After a recent visit to New York City, Lola Consuelos is heading back to London, but not without her parents, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, sharing some humorous insights about her messy living habits. During the May 6, 2026 episode of Live With Kelly and Mark, the couple couldn't resist discussing the state of their 24-year-old daughter's bedroom, which they described as "wild" following her stay.
Lola, the middle child of Ripa and Consuelos, moved to London shortly after graduating from New York University in 2023. Currently residing there with her boyfriend, Cassius Kidston, she returned home to NYC to support her younger brother Joaquin during his Broadway debut in Death of a Salesman. Ripa expressed her affection for Lola in the comments of a selfie Lola shared on Instagram, writing, "Where have you been lovey?" This British-inspired term of endearment reflects Lola's current environment.
During the broadcast, Ripa asked her husband, "Did you happen to go into Lola’s bedroom last night?" After Mark confirmed he had, Ripa exclaimed, "That was wild. That was wild, what was going on in there." The couple expressed disbelief at the clutter left behind as Lola prepared to return to London. Mark questioned, "You’re leaving our house. Why is this stuff here? What is all this?"
Ripa revealed that she had instructed Lola to clean her room every night for a week during her visit, but it seemed her efforts were in vain. "I kept hoping that she would, at some point, go into her closet and take some of that with you or donate it," Ripa said, clearly frustrated by the situation. The parents humorously critiqued their daughter’s messy habits live on air, contrasting them with her past achievements.
Ripa reminded viewers of Lola's impressive past, noting that she won the Cleanest Camper award for three consecutive years during her school years. "The teachers in school had you organize other kids’ desks and closets because you were the cleanest student. What is happening here?" she asked, incredulous at the change in her daughter's habits.
Mark attempted to turn the conversation into a life lesson, telling Lola that she would eventually be responsible for younger people. "You’re going to be responsible for younger people, theoretically, at some point. So, you need to get this under control, or you’re gonna raise a bunch of this," he said, to which Lola sarcastically replied, "Dad, it’s 6:30 in the morning. You’re talking to me about my kids?" Mark humorously countered, "They’re not here yet. God willing, they’ll come someday. But you’re gonna have to get this managed at some point."
Even with the messy bedroom drama, Ripa and Consuelos made it clear that they cherished having Lola home. Ripa affectionately remarked, "She is a net asset, that child. She walks into a room and everything gets more fun," to which Mark jokingly added, "Just don’t walk into her room." The couple's playful banter highlighted the love and warmth that underpins their family dynamics.
The family enjoyed quality time together during Lola's visit, including a dinner where they joked about seasonal allergies and the possibility of getting sick. Ripa mentioned that they were all sneezing and coughing, attributing it to allergies, with Lola humorously claiming responsibility for getting everyone sick.
As Lola heads back to London, she is not just returning to her boyfriend but also continuing her pursuit of a music career. She has been living in the UK for two years and is currently applying for a visa extension to remain there longer. Lola expressed her enthusiasm for London during a recent podcast appearance, stating, "I love London. … I encourage everyone to do at least, if you can, a year, maybe less, maybe eight months, I don’t know, living in London. I think it’s the best city. I love New York. New York’s always gonna be my home. But London just has a charm that… It just has such a charm. It’s so beautiful."
In addition to her music endeavors, Lola's recent visit also included performing at a Soho venue, where her parents surprised her. Ripa shared her pride in Lola’s dedication and hard work, saying, "We are beside ourselves. She's been working so hard and her hard work paid off and guess what? We pulled off the ultimate surprise." Lola was visibly emotional when she saw her parents in the audience, stating, "I cried because I didn't know they were coming!"
As Lola returns to London, she plans to come back to New York City again in a few weeks, promising her family another chance for quality time together. Ripa and Consuelos will undoubtedly continue to share their lighthearted critiques of their daughter's living habits, reminding viewers that even in the midst of messiness, family love remains strong.
